Almost a member of the $4 club

Posted by: ukpylot In: My MINI ()

Filled up tonight at $3.91 but I saw plenty of gas stations at $4.01 so I would not be surprised if my next tank, or the one after, hits that ‘magic’ mark. Ouch. Maybe I will go back to slowing down a bit on the way to/from work, squeeze out some extra mpg.

I’m impressed with GBMINI#6 currently; I think maybe we’ve switched back to non-winter gas formulation but she’s hovering around 28mpg on the OBC - I’ll have to calculate reality on the next fill-up :)

Do you have a Costco in your area? They usually sell gas (or do MINI owners call it ‘petrol’?) for around 5-10 cents less than other stations. Sure a membership is $50 a year but you could be saving a ton of money at the price of gas these days.

Yes, I am a member of Costco but where I live they aren’t usually that much cheaper than the regular stations, but cheaper is still cheaper!
